The CW Sentry Chemical
Warfare Agent Detector uses a surface acoustic wave (SAW)
sensor array with a thermally modulated sample collector
to detect CWAs and avoid false positives. To expand the CW
Sentry’s capabilities, an electrochemical sensor array is
added to detect TICs. Analysis data can be reported via
RS232, ethernet, fiber optic, or switch closures. This
architecture facilitates networking of multiple
instruments into large monitoring sensor nodes.

The CW Sentry Chemical
Warfare Agent Detector from MSA is a compact, wall-mounted
instrument designed to detect the release of Chemical
Warfare Agents (CWAs) and selected Toxic Industrial
Chemicals (TICs). The CW Sentry is a fully automated
detection system designed for fixed site installations
such as office buildings, HVAC systems, subways and
airports. The CW Sentry employs a sophisticated, highly
selective detection system designed to operate in complex
environmental conditions. The detector is
field-supportable, inexpensive to operate and requires
very little maintenance. Created specifically to function
in real world environments, the CW Sentry has anticipated
and met the requirements for effective 24/7 CW agent
detection.
