An emergency
egress system designed to help firefighters rappel to safety,
should they become trapped in an upper story of a building.
Comes complete with the appropriate rappelling hardware and
rescue line and meets the NFPA 1983-2006 edition standard on
fire service life safety rope and system components. Designed
for use as an integral part of any MSA MMR air mask (with M7,
Vulcan™ or AirFrame carrier and harness), it is the only system
that meets both the NIOSH CBRN and NFPA 1981-2007 edition SCBA
standards. The complete system is capable of a 1,000 pound
static load, exceeding the NFPA minimum requirement of 300
pounds. It is available in two waist sizes and two rescue line
lengths. The rescue belt can be ordered as an option on new SCBA
or an individually sold component for upgrading your existing
MSA SCBA.
